Senator Sara Novak
Sara Novak is an accomplished educator and dedicated public servant who has made significant contributions to her community and state. Born and raised in Butte, Montana, she grew up with a strong sense of community and a passion for education. After graduating from Butte High School in 1996, Sara pursued higher education with determination. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of Montana Western and later completed a Master of Education in counseling from Montana State University–Northern. Her academic journey also included endorsements in educational leadership and special education supervision from the University of Montana and Montana State University Billings.
Sara’s professional career has been deeply rooted in education. She has worked as a special education teacher in Anaconda, Montana, where she demonstrated her commitment to supporting students with diverse needs. Her dedication to education led her to become the Special Education Director for Great Divide Education Services, an education cooperative based in Deer Lodge, Montana. In this role, she has been instrumental in shaping programs that provide critical support to students and educators across the region.
In addition to her work in education, Sara has been an active member of her community. She has held leadership positions in various professional organizations and served on the boards of local organizations in Anaconda.
