Senator Beau Ballard
Beau Ballard is a member of the Nebraska Legislature from Lincoln, Nebraska, in District 21. He was appointed by Governor Pete Ricketts in consultation with incoming Governor Jim Pillen to fill the seat of former Senator Mike Hilgers who was elected Nebraska Attorney General.
Born on May 5, 1994, in Lincoln, Beau Ballard is a lifelong resident of Northern Lancaster County and was raised on a small family agriculture business in Raymond, Nebraska. He is a graduate of Parkview Christian High School. He furthered his education at Colorado Christian University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Before his appointment to the Nebraska Legislature on January 4, 2023, Beau Ballard was a legislative staff member and served in the office of Senator Hilgers for five years. His dedication and hard work in the legislative office provided him with valuable experience and insights into the workings of the Nebraska Legislature.
In addition to his legislative duties, Beau Ballard is a successful business owner. He started a small business in Lincoln, employing over a dozen hard-working Nebraskans. He is the owner and founder of two small businesses in Lincoln, BJB Strategies and the Rabbit Hole Bakery. In 2021, he was honored by the Lincoln Independent Business Association with a Young Business Leader of the Year award.
Beau Ballard’s commitment to his community extends beyond his professional life. He is a member of Calvary Community Church. His dedication to his faith, family, and community is evident in his service to the people of Nebraska.
