Ben Hansen is an American politician, businessman, and chiropractor who is currently serving as a member of the Nebraska Legislature from the 16th district. He was born on June 29, 1979, in Schuyler, Nebraska.

Education: Hansen’s educational journey began in Schuyler, Nebraska, where he graduated from Schuyler Central High School in 1998. He then earned an Associate of Science degree from Central Community College in 2000. He continued his education at Wayne State College, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2002. Hansen furthered his studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he earned a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2007.

Career: Since 2007, Hansen has owned the Hansen Chiropractic Wellness Center. In addition to his chiropractic practice, he founded the Blair Rent-It Center in 2014 and the Heritage Barnwood Company. His entrepreneurial spirit is evident in his diverse business ventures.

Political Career: Hansen’s political career began when he was elected to the Nebraska Legislature in November 2018. He assumed office on January 9, 2019. He has been serving the 16th district of Nebraska since then. He ran for re-election in 2022 and won, ensuring his service to the district until at least 2027.
