Born as Carolyn Heide Curry in Columbus, Nebraska, she embarked on her educational journey at Columbus High School, graduating in 2001. She then pursued higher education at Baylor University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 2005. Her thirst for knowledge led her to Creighton University School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 2009.

In her personal life, Carolyn is happily married to Reginald Bosn since May 8, 2010. They are proud parents of four children. Apart from her legislative duties, Carolyn is a stay-at-home mom and an office assistant, balancing her professional and personal life with grace and efficiency.

Before her appointment to the Nebraska Legislature, Carolyn served as the Deputy County Attorney in the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office. Her tenure from 2010 to 2017 was marked by her dedication and commitment to justice. She also held the position of an adjunct professor at the University of Nebraska College of Law and coached its trial team, sharing her legal expertise with the next generation of lawyers.

Carolyn’s political journey began when she was appointed by Governor Jim Pillen in April 2023. She filled the seat of former Senator Suzanne Geist, who resigned to run for mayor of Lincoln, Nebraska. Since her appointment, Carolyn has been an active and influential figure in the Nebraska Legislature, working tirelessly for the betterment of her constituents and the state.

In addition to her legislative duties, Carolyn is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She also served as a trial team assistant coach at the University of Nebraska College of Law from 2020 to 2023.
