Senator Dan McKeon

Dan McKeon is a Republican serving in the Nebraska State Senate, representing District 41. He assumed office on January 8, 2025, and his current term is set to end on January 3, 2029.

Born in Sweetwater, Nebraska, Dan McKeon has deep roots in his community. He graduated from Ravenna High School in 1984 and later earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, in 1989. His early years were marked by service to his country as a member of the U.S. Army National Guard from 1986 to 1992. This experience instilled in him a strong sense of duty and leadership, qualities that have defined his career.

McKeon’s professional life has been centered around agriculture, where he has worked as an agribusinessman and crop consultant. In addition to his professional and community endeavors, McKeon is a family man. He married Traci Richards in 1995, and together they have four children: Bridget, Luke, Caleb, and Lydia. His family values and dedication to public service have been central to his approach as a legislator.
