Dave Murman is an American politician serving as a member of the Nebraska Legislature from the 38th district. He was born on June 30, 1953, in Hastings, Nebraska, and was raised on his family’s farm. After graduating from Sandy Creek High School, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1976.

Before his political career, Murman worked as an EMT for Glenvil Fire and Rescue. He also served as the president of the Nebraska State Dairy Association. His dedication to public service and his community led him to run for office.

In November 2018, Murman was elected to the Nebraska Legislature. He assumed office on January 9, 2019. Since then, he has been working diligently to represent the interests of his constituents in the 38th district. His current term ends on January 6, 2027.

In the most recent election, held on November 8, 2022, Murman ran for re-election to the Nebraska State Senate to represent District 38. He won the general election, securing another term to continue his work in the legislature.
