Representative Heather Goulding

Heather Goulding, a member of the Democratic Party, serves in the Nevada State Assembly representing District 27. She assumed office on November 6, 2024, and her current term is set to conclude on November 4, 2026.

Heather Goulding has been a dedicated advocate for her community, with a career that spans public service, nonprofit leadership, and project management. A long-time resident of Nevada, she has lived in Assembly District 27 for over 30 years, immersing herself in initiatives that uplift and empower her constituents. Her commitment to education, healthcare, and community development is evident in her work. Heather played a pivotal role in establishing the Battle Born Youth ChalleNGe Academy through Senate Bill 295 in 2019, a program aimed at helping at-risk youth. For her efforts, she was awarded the Nevada State Commendation Medal and was recognized as a finalist for the Reno Gazette Journal’s Citizen of the Year award.

Heather’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA in Supply Chain Management from the University of Nevada, Reno. Her academic achievements have been instrumental in shaping her approach to problem-solving and governance.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Heather has been actively involved in various community activities. She has served as a volunteer ski instructor, a founding board member of Reno Improv, and a leader in Toastmasters, where she helped individuals build confidence in public speaking. Her passion for cycling led her to become a ride leader for Reno’s local bike club and a board member of the Reno Bike Project. Additionally, she has contributed to the City of Reno Ward 5 Neighborhood Advisory Board, showcasing her dedication to local governance and community engagement.
