Representative PK O'Neill
Philip K. O’Neill, commonly known as PK O’Neill, was born in 1951 in Washington, D.C. He received his education at the Georgetown Preparatory School in Bethesda, Maryland. After completing his schooling, he graduated from Sierra Nevada College, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
PK O’Neill has had a long and distinguished career in law enforcement, spanning over four decades. This experience in law enforcement has been instrumental in shaping his political career and his approach to legislation.
In 2014, O’Neill began his political journey as a Republican member of the Nevada Assembly, representing District 40. He served in this capacity until 2016. After a brief hiatus, he returned to the assembly in 2020 and has been serving since then.
In addition to his role in the assembly, O’Neill has held the position of Minority Leader of the Nevada Assembly since February 6, 2023. His leadership has been marked by a commitment to the principles of the Republican party and a dedication to serving the people of Nevada.
O’Neill’s political career has also seen him serve on the Nevada Commission on Ethics. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Carson Tahoe Health Systems, further demonstrating his commitment to public service.
On a personal note, O’Neill is married to Nancy and they have four children. They reside in Carson City, Nevada, where O’Neill has been a protective figure for over 40 years, through his law enforcement career and time at the Nevada State legislature.
