Representative Candace Gibbons
Candace Gibbons is a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Hillsborough 20. She is a member of the Democratic Party. She assumed office on December 7, 2022, and her current term ends on December 4, 2024.
Gibbons ran for election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Hillsborough 20 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. In the election, she defeated Pierre Dupont and Robert Kliskey, securing 27.1% of the votes.
Before her political career, Gibbons has been a Registered Nurse for almost 10 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry as well as Nursing from the State University of New York, Plattsburgh, which she earned in 2013. She also holds a certificate in teaching.
She is a mother of two kids, aged 17 and 9. Her older son, Jared, recently left New Hampshire to join the US Army and is now in Basic Training.
In addition to her role as a representative, Gibbons is also a Selectman in Manchester Ward 9. She has a keen interest in child & family law, education, health/human services/elderly, and environmental policy.
In her free time, Gibbons enjoys cooking, sewing, skiing, knitting, bicycling, and playing the clarinet and flute.
