Catherine A. Rombeau is an American politician of the Democratic Party. She is a State Representative for Hillsborough County’s 7th district in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. Her political journey began with a 37-vote victory in a special election, marking the first flip for Democrats in the 2021 United States state legislative elections. This victory made her only the second Democrat to be elected to the state house from the town of Bedford, a historically Republican town.

Before being elected to the state legislature, Rombeau was a member of the Bedford City Council. Her electoral history is notable. In the 2020 New Hampshire House of Representatives Hillsborough County 7th district election, she received 5,488 votes, securing 7.4% of the total votes. However, in the 2021 New Hampshire House of Representatives Hillsborough County 7th district special election, she emerged victorious with 2,325 votes, which was 50.4% of the total votes.

Rombeau was born in Madison, Connecticut, and currently resides in Bedford, New Hampshire. She has had a successful career as an attorney. Her educational background includes an undergraduate degree from Amherst College and a law degree from New York University.
