Representative Dale Swanson

Dale Swanson is a member of the Democratic Party serving in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He represents Hillsborough District 5 and assumed office on December 4, 2024. His current term is set to end on December 2, 2026.

Born in Mankato, Minnesota, Dale Swanson has a rich history of service and leadership. He graduated from Mankato East High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from the United States Air Force Academy in 1979. Later, he pursued a graduate degree from the University of Idaho in 1995. Swanson dedicated 14 years to the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1979 to 1993. During his tenure, he was involved in fighter jet operations, including deployments to NATO nations and combat duties in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War.

After leaving the Air Force, Swanson transitioned to a career in engineering and technology. He worked as a lead engineer specializing in global navigation satellite systems modernization. His professional expertise and commitment to innovation have been recognized in various capacities, including his affiliation with the Institute of Navigation.

Swanson’s dedication to community service is equally commendable. He has been a mentor and leader, guiding young individuals in their personal and professional development.
