Representative Dan McGuire Contact information

Dan McGuire is a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Merrimack 14. He assumed office on December 7, 2022, and his current term ends on December 4, 2024. McGuire ran for election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Merrimack 14 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

McGuire earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1986. His career experience includes working as an investor, a computer engineer, an assistant professor of computer engineering with the University of California at Santa Cruz, and a software development manager with 8x8, Inc.

He has served on the Epsom Planning Board, on the board of Granite State Taxpayers and the Josiah Bartlett Center, and as the chair of the Suncook Valley GOP. He is also an avid bridge player and has been the New Hampshire state champion four times.

In addition to his political career, McGuire is an angel investor and retired computer engineer. He graduated with a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT in 1986, worked for four years as an assistant professor of computer engineering at UC Santa Cruz, and then was a software development manager for 8x8, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA.

Dan and his wife, Rep. Carol McGuire, have been married for over 40 years, moved to New Hampshire in 2005, and have lived in Epsom since 2006. He’s a board member of Granite State Taxpayers and the Josiah Bartlett Center and is chair of Suncook Valley GOP. Dan is an avid bridge player and has been NH state champion four times.
