Representative Debra DeSimone
Debra DeSimone is a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Rockingham 18. She assumed office on December 7, 2022, and her current term ends on December 4, 2024. DeSimone is a member of the Republican Party.
Born in Malden, Massachusetts, DeSimone graduated from Malden High School. She furthered her education at Salem State LPN program and NECC associates program in Finance. She has been married to her husband Robert for 50 years, and they have three adult children and four grandchildren.
DeSimone has served as the tax collector of the Town of Atkinson and the chair of Family Mediation Juvenile Services. She has also served on the Building Needs Committee from 2016-2020 and the County Long Term care and Executive Committees from 2008 to the present.
In her legislative career, DeSimone has been assigned to several committees. In the 2023-2024 legislative session, she was assigned to the Children and Family Law Committee. She also served on the same committee in the 2021-2022 and 2019-2020 sessions, where she held the positions of Vice-Chair and Clerk, respectively.
DeSimone ran for re-election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Rockingham 18 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. She is pleased and honored to begin her 8th term as a legislator.
