Dennis Malloy is a dedicated public servant who is currently serving his fifth term in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing the Greenland and Rye district. He has been a part of the NH House since 2012, when he was originally elected from Barrington.

Dennis Malloy is a dedicated public servant who is currently serving his fifth term in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing the Greenland and Rye district. He has been a part of the NH House since 2012, when he was originally elected from Barrington. During his tenure, he has been appointed to the Municipal and County Government Committee and has also served two terms as a Barrington Selectman.

Before moving to Greenland to be closer to his wife’s business, Malloy Interiors located in Portsmouth, Dennis served as the Chief Development Officer for NH Public Television from 2001 to 2011. He is also an arbitrator with the Financial Industries Regulatory Authority (FINRA), providing oversight and regulatory leadership to the securities industry.

In 2017, Dennis was appointed to the Ways and Means Committee and served as its clerk in the 2019-2020 term. The Ways and Means Committee is responsible for studying all of New Hampshire’s sources of revenue and advising the House on all tax and fee revenue that will be available to the Finance Committee.

Dennis and his wife Laura moved to New Hampshire in 2001 from Iowa, where they both graduated from college and began their professional careers. Dennis holds degrees from Coe College in Cedar Rapids and Iowa State University in Ames. In Iowa, Dennis served as Director of Development and Community Relations for Iowa Public Television and as station manager for an FM radio station in Des Moines.

In addition to his work in the legislature, Dennis also serves on several boards and committees, including the Greenland Trustee of Trust Funds, the Seacoast YMCA Advisory Board, the Granite State YMCA Trustee, the New Generation Inc. Board of Directors, the Great Bay Stewards Board of Trustees, the Seacoast Pediatric Cancer Cluster Commission, the Pease Restoration Advisory Board, the Seacoast Drinking Water Commission, and the Shoreland Septic System Commission. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Central Iowa Red Cross and the Polk County Cancer Society.

His core beliefs and goals include maintaining a healthy democracy, supporting a strong public education system, ensuring quality affordable and accessible mental and physical health services, and maintaining well-maintained infrastructure and public safety agencies. He is committed to working across the aisle to create balanced state budgets and thoroughly understanding both local and statewide issues.
