Representative Erica de Vries

Erica de Vries is a member of the Democratic Party serving in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. She represents Rockingham District 29 and assumed office on December 4, 2024. Her current term is set to end on December 2, 2026.

Erica de Vries has a rich professional background and a strong commitment to her community. She owns a consulting company, Accessio Strategies, which specializes in providing fundraising guidance to nonprofit organizations across New England. Her work spans a variety of sectors, including environmental organizations, schools, colleges, animal welfare groups, arts organizations, and museums. Before establishing her consulting firm, Erica worked at an academic medical center in Boston and led a consultancy in London that served clients across the UK and mainland Europe.

Erica’s educational journey reflects her dedication to public service and law. She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Maine in Orono and later pursued her J.D. at Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tennessee. Her academic foundation has been instrumental in shaping her approach to governance and community engagement.

Since moving to Hampton, New Hampshire, in 2012, Erica has been an active participant in local government and community initiatives. She has served as the Chair of the Hampton Zoning Board of Adjustments and has been involved in various committees, including the Hampton Master Plan Steering Committee and the Hampton Heritage Commission. Her leadership roles demonstrate her commitment to fostering sustainable development and preserving the town’s heritage.

Erica is also deeply passionate about ensuring access to high-quality reproductive care and has been a vocal advocate for this cause. Her dedication to public service extends to her involvement in the Democratic Party at local, county, and state levels. In 2020, she was elected as one of New Hampshire’s national delegates for Senator Amy Klobuchar.

Beyond her professional and political endeavors, Erica enjoys the natural beauty of the Seacoast region. She took up surfing upon her arrival in Hampton, embracing the area’s coastal lifestyle. Her love for the community and its unique character continues to inspire her work as a representative in the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
