J.R. Hoell is an American politician and a member of the Republican Party. He currently represents the Merrimack 27th district in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. His tenure began on December 7, 2022, and his current term is set to end on December 4, 2024.

Hoell grew up in New Jersey and now resides in New Hampshire. He is an alumnus of West Windsor-Plainsboro High School in New Jersey. He furthered his education at the Stevens Institute of Technology, where he earned a B.S. in Material Science and Metallurgical Engineering in 1991 and an M.S. in Concurrent Engineering in 1993.

In terms of his professional career, Hoell has worked as a mechanical engineer at Segway and Bezalel Design, a program manager at Farm Design, and a principal systems engineer with Genesis-Systems. He has also been involved with the New Hampshire Firearms Coalition and New Hampshire Right to Life as a board member and is the founder of Packing New Hampshire.

In the political arena, Hoell has served in various capacities in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He was a member of the Merrimack 13th district from 2010 to 2012, and the Merrimack 23rd district from 2012 to 2018. In the 2022 general election, Hoell ran for election to represent Merrimack 27 and emerged victorious.

Throughout his legislative career, Hoell has been assigned to several committees. In the 2023-2024 legislative session, he was assigned to the House Finance Committee and the Finance - Division III Committee. In the 2017 legislative session, he served on the Executive Departments and Administration committee. In the 2015 legislative session, he served on the same committee. In the 2013-2014 legislative session, he served on the Children and Family Law committee, and in the 2011-2012 legislative session, he served on the Education committee.

Hoell’s contributions to the New Hampshire House of Representatives and his dedication to his constituents have made him a notable figure in New Hampshire politics.
