Representative Joseph Hamblen

Joseph Hamblen is a Republican member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Carroll District 3. He assumed office on December 4, 2024, and his current term is set to end on December 2, 2026.

Born and raised in New Hampshire, Joseph Hamblen has deep roots in the community he now serves. He resides in Moultonborough, New Hampshire, with his wife, Vicki, to whom he has been married for over 50 years. Together, they have two children and two grandchildren. Hamblen’s educational background is extensive and diverse. He graduated from Exeter Area High School and went on to earn degrees in Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Business Administration from institutions such as the New Hampshire Technical Institute, Southern Illinois University, and Westbrook College in Portland, Maine.

Before entering politics, Hamblen served four years in the U.S. Air Force, where he honed his skills and developed a strong sense of duty and discipline. Following his military service, he worked as a Manufacturing Engineer for 12 years and later became a successful business owner, running his own enterprise for 33 years. His professional journey reflects a commitment to hard work, innovation, and leadership.

In addition to his professional achievements, Hamblen has been actively involved in local government and community initiatives. His decision to run for the New Hampshire House of Representatives was driven by a desire to give back to the community and address the needs of the towns he represents, including Madison, Moultonborough, and Tamworth. As a member of the House, he serves on the Transportation Committee, where he contributes to discussions and decisions on matters related to air, land, and water transportation.

Hamblen’s tenure in the House is marked by his dedication to his constituents and his efforts to bring practical solutions to the challenges faced by his district. His leadership style is characterized by a collaborative approach and a focus on fostering economic growth, improving infrastructure, and ensuring the well-being of the residents he represents.
