Representative Rick Devoid

Ricky Devoid is a member of the Republican Party serving in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He represents Merrimack District 1. Devoid assumed office on December 4, 2024, and his current term is set to end on December 2, 2026.

Born and raised in Concord, New Hampshire, Ricky Devoid has deep roots in his community. He graduated from Concord High School and has spent much of his life contributing to the state in various capacities. Before entering politics, Devoid had a diverse career that included law enforcement, sales, and management. He served over sixteen years with the Weare Police Department and spent more than two decades teaching at the Lethal Force Institute. Additionally, he worked in the family business, specializing in custom granite work for memorials and mausoleums across New England.

Devoid also has experience in the agricultural sector, having sold farm equipment and managed sales for companies like North Country Tractor. Currently retired, he runs Tarnhelm Supply Co., Inc., where he works as a gunsmith, focusing on adding safeties to handguns. His multifaceted career reflects his commitment to serving his community in various ways.

In his role as a state representative, Devoid is dedicated to addressing the needs of his constituents in Merrimack District 1. His background in law enforcement and community service informs his approach to legislation, particularly in areas related to public safety and local governance. Married with three children, Devoid continues to reside in New Hampshire, where he remains actively involved in both his professional and personal endeavors.
