He earned a Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. While working, he pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University in 2003. He served as the National Chair of the Federation of Tax Administrators Motor Fuel Tax Section from 2014 to 2015 and was honored with the Robert E. Beck Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024. Additionally, he held leadership roles in the International Fuel Tax Association (IFTA), serving on its Board of Trustees and as its President from 2020 to 2021.
Beyond his professional career, Scott has been deeply involved in his local community. He has served in various capacities, including as a member of the Northwood School District SAU #44 School Board since March 2024 and as a member of the Northwood Police Commission since March 2021. His long-standing commitment to local governance is further highlighted by his tenure as a member of the Northwood Board of Selectmen from 1999 to 2020.
Scott Bryer is also a Certified Public Accountant, a testament to his financial acumen and dedication to maintaining high standards in his work. Outside of his professional and public service commitments, he enjoys skiing at Cannon Mountain during the winter and coastal sailing in Boston Harbor during the summer.
