Senator Tara Reardon

Tara Reardon is a member of the Democratic Party serving in the New Hampshire State Senate, representing District 15. She assumed office on December 4, 2024, and her current term is set to end on December 2, 2026.

Senator Reardon has a long history of public service and community involvement. Before joining the State Senate, she served as Chair of the Merrimack County Board of Commissioners from 2016 to 2024. Her dedication to public service also extended to her time as a Concord City Councilor at-large from 2002 to 2004 and as a member of the Concord School Board from 2012 to 2015. These roles allowed her to engage deeply with her community and address local issues effectively.

In addition to her political career, Senator Reardon has a strong professional background. She is a retired attorney and previously served as Vice President of External Relations and ROC-NH at the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund. Her educational achievements include a degree in applied science from Westbrook College, a Bachelor’s Degree from Franklin Pierce College, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of New Hampshire, Franklin Pierce School of Law.

Senator Reardon is also actively involved in various community organizations. She has been a member of the Concord Zoning Board, the Crisis Center of Central NH, and the Concord Garden Club, among others. Her commitment to public education is evident through her involvement with the Concord Trust for the Enhancement of Public Education.

On a personal note, Senator Reardon is married and has three children and two grandchildren. She enjoys traveling, golfing, and gardening. Her love for New Hampshire is reflected in her appreciation for the state’s natural beauty, from its coastal beaches to the scenic backroads and landmarks like Franconia Notch.

Throughout her career, Senator Reardon has been a dedicated advocate for her constituents, focusing on issues such as women’s healthcare rights, affordable housing, public education, and clean energy. Her extensive experience and deep-rooted connections within the community make her a strong voice for District 15 in the New Hampshire State Senate.
