Terry Roy is an American politician serving as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives for the Rockingham 31 district. He assumed office on December 5, 2018.

Born on December 28, 1968, in Gardner, Massachusetts, Terry Roy has had a distinguished career in public service. After graduating from high school in 1986 at the age of 17, he joined the United States Army. He served in the United States Army for six years, during which he was deployed to West Germany during the Cold War and later participated in the Gulf War.

After retiring from the military, Roy worked in law enforcement and education. His career experience includes working as a police officer and a special state investigator. He has served on the New Hampshire Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Terry Roy is the proud father of 4 children, and grandfather of 2 wonderful grandchildren. He has 2 dogs, an English Mastiff and a Yorkie, as well as some chickens and they all live in their home in the beautiful town of Deerfield.

Roy was elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives in November 2018 and assumed office the following month. He serves as the chairman of the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee. Roy has sponsored legislation aiming to limit minors from undergoing gender transition procedures in New Hampshire.

He ran for re-election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Rockingham 31 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. His current term ends on December 4, 2024.
