Representative Tom Schamberg
Tom Schamberg is a dedicated public servant and a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He represents the Merrimack 4 district and has been serving since December 5, 2018. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
Born in December 1946, Schamberg has had a diverse career path. He is a retired teacher, having spent 30 years teaching Health & Physical Education and coaching in Ohio. He served as the mayor of Orwell, Ohio for 14 and a half years, demonstrating his commitment to public service early on.
In March 2015, he was elected to the Wilmot (N.H.) Board of Selectmen and is now serving his second term. His dedication to his community is evident in his continued service.
On November 6, 2018, Schamberg was elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He assumed office on December 5, 2018. His current term ends on December 4, 2024.
In addition to his political career, Schamberg has also been involved in presidential campaigns. On January 6, 2024, he was selected as a New Hampshire’s 2nd congressional district primary delegate for the Dean Phillips 2024 presidential campaign.
Schamberg resides in Wilmot, New Hampshire. He has faced personal tragedy in his life, with his youngest son, Kurt, dying at the age of 26 in a roadside bombing while serving in the Iraq War.
