About Representative Chris DePhillips
Chris DePhillips serves as a Republican Representative for District 40 in the New Jersey state legislature.
DePhillips has served in the New Jersey General Assembly since 2018 and has been conference leader since 2024. DePhillips earned a bachelor’s degree in government from Georgetown University in 1987 and a law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1992. A resident of Wyckoff, DePhillips served on the Wyckoff Township Committee from 2010 to 2013, including as deputy mayor in 2011 and mayor in 2012. DePhillips previously served as assistant minority leader from 2022 to 2023 and as deputy minority leader in 2021. DePhillips also served as a commissioner of the Northwest Bergen County Utilities Authority from 2012 to 2017.
