Dan Hutchison is an American attorney and Democratic Party politician serving as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly for the 4th legislative district. He assumed office on January 9, 2024. A resident of Gloucester Township, New Jersey since 1995, Hutchison graduated in 1989 from Rider College (now Rider University) with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance. He subsequently earned certification as a Certified Public Accountant and obtained his J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School in 1995.

Hutchison’s career experience includes working as an attorney, and he has been elected to five terms as a member of the Gloucester Township Council. In the 2023 New Jersey General Assembly election, led by Paul D. Moriarty, Hutchison and his Democratic running mate Cody Miller defeated Republicans Amanda Esposito and Matthew P. Walker. The 4th District representatives for the 2024-2025 Legislative Session are Senator Paul D. Moriarty, Assemblyman Dan Hutchison, and Assemblywoman Cody Miller.

In the general election, Hutchison received 30,116 votes (26.5%), while his running mate Cody D. Miller received 29,770 votes (26.2%). The Republican candidates, Amanda Esposito and Matthew P. Walker, received 26,653 votes (23.5%) and 25,881 votes (22.8%), respectively. Additionally, the Conservatives South Jersey Maureen Dukes Penrose received 1,145 votes (1.0%). The total votes cast in the election were 113,565.
