About Representative Ravi Bhalla
Ravi Bhalla serves as a Democratic Representative for District 32 in the New Jersey state legislature.
Assemblyman Bhalla was elected as the first Sikh mayor in New Jersey in 2017. Prior to becoming mayor, Assemblyman Bhalla served for eight years on the Hoboken City Council. Assemblyman Bhalla earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Assemblyman Bhalla and his wife, Bindya, reside in Hoboken, where they are raising their two children. Bhalla went on to earn a Master’s of Science in Public Policy at the London School of Economics and a Juris Doctor at Tulane Law School in New Orleans.
