Candy Spence Ezzell, born on November 26, 1953, in Artesia, New Mexico, is an American politician and a Republican member of the New Mexico House of Representatives. She has been representing District 58 since January 2005.

Candy Spence Ezzell, born on November 26, 1953, in Artesia, New Mexico, is an American politician and a Republican member of the New Mexico House of Representatives. She has been representing District 58 since January 2005.

Ezzell attended Eastern New Mexico University and New Mexico State University for her education. Her professional experience includes being the owner and operator of 2 C Slash Ranch.

In her political career, Ezzell has had a series of successful elections. In 2004, she challenged District 58 incumbent Democratic Representative Pauline Ponce and won the three-way General election with 54.6% votes against Representative Ponce and Libertarian candidate George Peterson.

In the 2006 general election, she won with 54.1% votes against Democratic nominee Pablo Martinez. In the 2008 General election, she won with 61.6% votes against her returning 2004 opponent George Peterson, who was running as a Democrat. In the 2010 General election, she won with 64.9% votes against Democratic nominee Michael Trujillo.

Ezzell has served on several committees during her tenure. These include the Agriculture & Water Resources Committee, House Education Committee, Consumer & Public Affairs Committee, and Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Committee among others.

As of 2024, Ezzell is running for election to the New Mexico State Senate to represent District 32. She is on the ballot in the Republican primary.
