Joshua A. Sanchez is a Republican serving in the New Mexico State Senate, representing District 29. He assumed office on January 1, 2025, and his current term is set to end on December 31, 2028.

Born and raised in Belen, New Mexico, Joshua Sanchez has deep roots in his community. His early life was shaped by his experiences on his family’s farm and his time as a student at Belen High School, where he was an active member of the wrestling team. Before entering politics, Sanchez built a successful career as a business owner and worked for 15 years with the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District.
