Contact Representative Brian Curran
Brian Curran was first elected to the New York State Assembly on November 2, 2010, and served until 2018. He is elated to be returning after being elected on November 8, 2022. The 21st Assembly District includes Lynbrook, Rockville Centre, and parts of the towns of Baldwin, East Rockaway, Freeport, Hewlett, Malverne, Oceanside, South Hempstead, and West Hempstead.

Brian Curran was first elected to the New York State Assembly on November 2, 2010, and served until 2018. He is elated to be returning after being elected on November 8, 2022. The 21st Assembly District includes Lynbrook, Rockville Centre, and parts of the towns of Baldwin, East Rockaway, Freeport, Hewlett, Malverne, Oceanside, South Hempstead, and West Hempstead.

During his previous tenure as an Assemblyman, Brian served as the Ranking Minority Member of the Ethics and Guidance Committee and as a member of the Codes, Ways & Means, Banks, Labor, Insurance, and Veterans’ Affairs committees.

Brian served as the Mayor of Lynbrook prior to his initial time in the Assembly and is extensively involved in his community. He is a current member of the St. Mary’s Council - Knights of Columbus, Elks Lodge, Ancient Order of Hibernians and a coach for OLP CYO Basketball. He is a former member of Hose Company of the Lynbrook Fire Department, and a former coach of the Lynbrook Flag Football League.

Brian has a Jurist Doctorate from CUNY Law School and was admitted to the New York State and Connecticut Bar Associations. His knowledge of the law and experience within the legal system will aid Brian in his endeavors while with the Assembly.

Brian resides in Lynbrook with his wife, Rosemarie Ciaccio-Curran, and their four children, Isabella (20), Jake (18), Riley (15), and Logan (8).
