Moreno is proud to represent the 36th Assembly District in Queens, which includes the neighborhoods of Astoria and Long Island City. Moreno and State Senator Kristen Gonzalez Celebrate the Inclusion of Corporate Tax Bills in One-House Budgets. Astoria, NY - On Tuesday, March 10, and Moreno and State Senator Kristen Gonzalez celebrated the inclusion of language in the Senate and Assembly One-House Budget resolutions permitting New York City to raise corporate taxes. Born and raised in Quito, Ecuador, she comes from a working-class family of teachers, bus drivers, and union organizers. When Diana was 11 years old, her family made the heartwrenching decision to immigrate to the United States to escape a neoliberal financial crisis.
