William Peter Rabon, born on July 6, 1951, is a Republican member of the North Carolina State Senate. He represents the 8th district which includes Brunswick, Columbus, and New Hanover. His legislative office is located at 16 West Jones Street, Room 2010, Raleigh, NC. He has served 7 terms in the Senate.

Rabon is the first veterinarian in Brunswick County and a partner in three local animal hospitals. He was first elected to the Senate in 2010. He is the Chairman of the Rules and Operations of the Senate committee, the Select Committee on Nominations, and the Finance Committee.

Rabon earned his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 1976. He is the Vice Chair of the Brunswick Community College Board of Trustees and is a partner in multiple animal hospitals.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Bill Rabon has been active in his community for years. He was Vice Chair of the Brunswick County Community College Board of Trustees and is a past Chairman of the North Carolina Navigation Commission and Brunswick County Board of Health.
