Donny Lambeth is a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 75. He assumed office in 2013 and his current term ends on January 1, 2025. He is running for re-election to the North Carolina House of Representatives to represent District 75 and is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Donny and his wife, Pam, have been married for 47 years and are parents of four adult daughters and proud grandparents of seven grandchildren. Pam is a former teacher in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. All their daughters were students in the public school system of Forsyth county and have all gone on to receive college degrees at Universities in North Carolina.

A lifelong resident of Winston-Salem, Donny graduated from Parkland High School, earned his undergraduate degree from High Point University, and his MBA from Wake Forest. He retired in 2012 from Wake Forest Baptist Health as president of Lexington Medical Center and Davie Hospital. In addition, he served in a variety of leadership positions at NC Baptist Hospital including President of the Hospital from 2007 to 2011.

Donny has been elected to the Winston-Salem / Forsyth county school board five consecutive times and has served as chairman since 1994. He resigned on December 31, 2012. The only Freshman legislator in 2014 to be named to the Budget Negotiating Team Chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Services Other committees include: Education, Agriculture, Commerce, Job Development, Regulatory Reform, Banking, and State Personnel.

Donny’s political career began in 1994 when he was elected to the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education. He immediately gained the confidence of his fellow Board members and was elected Chair of the Board each of his eighteen years of service. In 2008, he was named to the North Carolina All-State School Board.

He is recognized by the Triad Business Journal for each of the last seven years as one of the region’s most influential leaders. Named to the All-State School Board and received the prestigious Health Care Hero Award in 2008.
