Frank Sossamon is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 32 in the North Carolina House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 1, 2023, and his current term ends on January 1, 2025. He is running for re-election to the North Carolina House of Representatives to represent District 32 and is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Frank Sossamon was born in and lives in North Carolina. His career experience includes working as the senior pastor at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a member of the Cornerstone Conference of the IPHC executive council and founded and led the chaplain program at Maria Parham Hospital. Sossamon was also the president and board member of the Henderson/Vance County Crime Stoppers, the Vance County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, the Granville County Crime Stoppers, and the North Carolina Crime Stoppers Association.

In the 2023-2024 session, Sossamon was assigned to the following committees: Appropriations Committee, Appropriations on Education Committee, Commerce Committee, Education - K-12 Committee, and House Transportation Committee.

Frank is a North Carolina native and has resided in either Vance or Granville County for the past 38 years. He has been married to his wife, Vicki, for 48 years and they have 3 adult children. Frank was a recipient of the 2020 Governor’s Volunteer Service Award for his tireless efforts to better the communities we live in.

District 32, which he represents, includes all of Vance County, as well as most of Granville County. As of the 2020 Census, North Carolina state representatives represented an average of 87,116 residents. After the 2010 Census, each member represented 79,715 residents.
