James Roberson is a Democratic member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 39. He assumed office on January 13, 2021. His current term ends on January 1, 2025. Roberson is running for re-election to the North Carolina House of Representatives to represent District 39. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Roberson’s career experience includes working as the senior dean and CCO of the Western Wake campus of Wake Technical Community College. Prior to joining the state House, Roberson was the mayor of Knightdale, NC. He was elected to the position in 2015 and 2019.
