Matthew Winslow is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 7 in the North Carolina House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 1, 2021, and his current term ends on January 1, 2025. He is running for re-election to the North Carolina House of Representatives to represent District 7 and is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Matthew Winslow is a native North Carolinian from the northeastern part of the state. His first paid job at sixteen years old was cleaning out hog houses, as the grandson of a multi-generational farmer, it was something he felt qualified to do.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from East Carolina University. His career experience includes owning Winslow Homes. Winslow has served as the chair of Franklin County Economic Development, the vice chair of Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, on the board of the Franklin County Education Foundation, on the Franklin County Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, and on the Triangle North Executive Airport Master Plan Update Committee.

In the 2023-2024 session, Winslow was assigned to the following committees: Alcoholic Beverage Control Committee, Banking Committee (Chair), Commerce Committee, Energy and Public Utilities Committee (Chair), House Finance Committee, and House Transportation Committee.
