Neal Jackson is a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 78. He assumed office on January 1, 2023, and his current term ends on January 1, 2025. He is a member of the Republican Party.

Born in Pinehurst, North Carolina, Neal Jackson is the son and grandson of Baptist preachers. Growing up in a pastor’s home, he saw firsthand what life is about, serving people. Neal was taught from an early age that true greatness is not in having servants but in being a servant.

In terms of education, Jackson earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree. His career experience includes owning an insurance and financial planning firm and working as a pastor in Florida and North Carolina as well as at the Beulah Baptist Church in Bennett, North Carolina.

In May 2022, Jackson defeated David Ashley and Cory Bortree in the Republican primary election for the 78th district of the North Carolina House of Representatives. In November 2022, he defeated Erik Davis in the general election, winning 76 percent of the votes.

As a legislator, Jackson has been assigned to several committees during the 2023-2024 session, including the Banking Committee, Education - Universities Committee, House Finance Committee, Rules, Calendar, and Operations of the House Committee, and State Personnel Committee.

Jackson is running for re-election to the North Carolina House of Representatives to represent District 78. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024.
