Terence Everitt is a dedicated public servant, currently serving as a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives. He represents District 35, which, as of the 2020 Census, includes an average of 87,116 residents.

Everitt, a member of the Democratic Party, assumed office on January 1, 2019. His current term ends on January 1, 2025. He is also running for election to the North Carolina State Senate to represent District 18 and is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024.

In addition to his political career, Everitt is an attorney with his own law practice in Wake Forest, where he works on behalf of other small businesses, representing them in legal matters and assisting in the creation and development of new businesses. His commitment to local growth is evident in his service as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce.

Everitt is also a graduate of Leadership Wake Forest and served as a member of the Wake County Transit Advisory Committee, which provided the community recommendations and guidance in the development of the Wake County transit plan.

On a personal note, Everitt attended The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C., where he met his wife, Jennifer. The couple decided to move to North Carolina, where Jennifer grew up, in order to raise their family. They live in Wake Forest with their two children.
