Senator Dale Patten Contact information

Dale Patten is an American politician and former businessman who is currently serving as a member of the North Dakota Senate from the 26th district. He previously represented the 39th district.

Patten earned a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from North Dakota State University. Prior to entering politics, he worked as a banker and served as a member of the McKenzie County Commission from 2000 to 2012.

In his political career, Patten has served on several committees including Natural Resources, Taxation, and Transportation committees. He was also selected to serve on the High-Level Radioactive Waste Advisory Council, a joint committee formed by legislators in North Dakota and Montana to discuss the disposal of waste material in the Bakken Formation.

In addition to his political career, Patten has also been involved in various community activities. He has served as the chairman of the ND District 39 Republicans and on the board of directors of the North Dakota 4-H Foundation.

Patten and his wife, Joy, have two children. They live in Watford City, North Dakota. Patten’s career experience includes working as the market president of Cornerstone Bank.

As of 2023, Patten is serving in the 68th Legislative Assembly. He has been a part of the Senate since 2019 and has been a Senate Portfolio Leader for Carbon sequestration and Project Tundra.
