Dave Rustebakke serves as a Republican Representative for District 20 in the North Dakota state legislature.
Dave Rustebakke, a farmer from Larimore, was selected in April 2026 by the District 20 Republican executive committee to fill the North Dakota House seat left vacant when Representative Jared Hagert resigned to take a position with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency. He took office on April 11, 2026. Before joining the Legislature, Rustebakke served for eight years as legislative director for the North Dakota Farm Bureau. He serves on the interim Government Finance Committee.
