Dawson Holle, born on November 25, 2003, is an American politician who has been serving in the North Dakota House of Representatives from the 31st district since 2023. He is affiliated with the Republican Party. Holle is recognized as the youngest elected lawmaker in the history of the state at age 19.

Holle announced his candidacy for former incumbent Jim Schmidt’s seat in the 31st district on April 8, 2022. At the time of his candidacy announcement, he was in his senior year at Mandan High School and campaigned for the rest of the school year. On June 14, 2022, Holle won the Republican primary for District 31 alongside Karen Rohr with 33.9% of the vote. He later won in the general election on November 8, 2022, and was sworn in on December 1, 2022.

In terms of education, Holle attended Mandan High School and is currently studying at the University of Mary. Professionally, he is a dairy farmer. He was inspired to run for the state legislature at a local District Convention after watching the democratic process unfold and listening to current politicians.

As for the district he represents, the 31st district of the North Dakota House of Representatives includes parts of Grant County, Hettinger County, Morton County, and Sioux County. As of the 2020 Census, North Dakota state representatives represented an average of 8,295 residents.
