Representative Jayme Davis
Jayme Davis is a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 9A. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Davis assumed office on December 1, 2022, and her current term ends on December 1, 2026.
Education: Jayme Davis earned a B.S. in business management from the University of Mary in 2011. She is also a Masters Candidate in Public Affairs/Federal Indian Law & Sovereignty at the Humphrey School, University of Minnesota.
Career: Davis’ career experience includes working as a legal department administrator and policy specialist of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa. She has also served as the CEO of Circle of Nations Consulting, and a program director with Native Governance Center.
Political Career: In the 68th Legislative Assembly, Davis served on the Human Services and Political Subdivisions committees. She has been a representative in the House since 2023. She is also running in a special election to the North Dakota House of Representatives to represent District 9. She is on the ballot in the special Democratic primary on June 11, 2024.
District Representation: North Dakota House of Representatives District 9A is represented by Jayme Davis. As of the 2020 Census, North Dakota state representatives represented an average of 8,295 residents. In January 2024, this district was merged with House District 9B to create House District 9. The new district will take effect following the 2024 election.
