Representative Karen Grindberg

​Karen Grindberg is a Republican member of the North Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 41. She assumed office on December 2, 2024, following her appointment to fill the seat vacated by Michelle Strinden, who was elected as the state’s lieutenant governor. Her current term will end on December 1, 2028.​

Karen’s professional background includes serving as the chief financial officer at Flint Communications, where she gained extensive experience in financial management and strategic planning. Her expertise in these areas has been instrumental in her legislative work, particularly in matters related to government operations and veterans’ affairs.​

In the North Dakota House of Representatives, Karen serves on the Government and Veterans Affairs Committee and the Industry, Business and Labor Committee. Her husband, Tony Grindberg, represented District 41 in the North Dakota State Senate for 22 years, from 1992 to 2014. Their son, Tom Beadle, currently serves as the North Dakota State Treasurer. This family tradition of civic engagement underscores Karen’s dedication to serving her community and upholding the values that are important to her constituents.​

Residing in south Fargo with her husband, Karen is deeply connected to her community. Her local involvement and understanding of the issues facing her district enable her to represent the interests of her constituents effectively.
