Karen Rohr is an esteemed member of the North Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 31. She has been serving in this capacity since December 1, 2010. Her current term is set to end on December 1, 2026.

Born on December 20, 1953, Karen Rohr has made significant contributions to her community and the state of North Dakota. She has a rich educational background, having earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing and Nursing Administration from the University of Mary. She further pursued her academic interests and obtained a Ph.D. in Nursing Research from the University of North Dakota.

In addition to her political career, Rohr has a professional background as a Nurse Practitioner. She has also worked as a Project Coordinator and served as the Bioethics and Clinical Research Director at Medcenter One.

Throughout her tenure, Rohr has been a part of various committees in the North Dakota House of Representatives. These include the House Human Services Committee and the House Government and Veterans Affairs Committee. Her commitment to these roles showcases her dedication to public service and governance.

Rohr’s work has been recognized and endorsed by several organizations. She has received an “A” rating from the NRA and has been endorsed by the North Dakota Chamber (ND Chamber Champion), the Lignite Energy Council (Lignite Protector), the North Dakota Insurance and Financial Services (NDIB), the North Dakota Farm Bureau (NDFB), the North Dakota Association of Realtors (NDAR), and the Bismarck-Mandan Board of Realtors. She is also a member of Kiwanis, PEO, Elks Lodge 1199, and the North Dakota Nurse Practitioner Association.

Rohr is a proud mother of three children. Her personal and professional achievements, coupled with her commitment to her constituents, make her a respected figure in North Dakota’s political landscape.
