Larry Luick is a distinguished member of the North Dakota State Senate, representing the 25th District. Born in 1958 in Fairmount, North Dakota, he has been serving in the Senate since 2010 and is a member of the Republican Party.

Luick is not just a politician, but also a farmer and an excavation contractor by profession. He holds an AAS degree in Diesel Mechanics from the North Dakota State College of Science. His commitment to his work and his constituents is evident in his numerous roles and responsibilities.

He has served on the Board of Red River Human Services and has been a part of the NCSL Ag Task Force as well as the NCSL Natural Resources Committee. He has held the position of Past President at the Fairmount Public School Board and has been a Past Director at OCIA. He has also been a member of the OCIA Internal Review Committee and a Past Director of the SE Education Cooperative.

Luick has been the Vice-chair of the Agriculture Interim Committee in 2014 and was a part of the Water Topics Interim Committee in the same year. He represented North Dakota at the US Ag Summit from 2012 to 2015 and has been a Steering Committee Director at the International Legislative Forum. He is also a Director at the Red River Basin Commission and a member of SARL.

He has participated in the NDSU Rural Leadership Program and served as the Senate Interim President Pro Tempore from 2021 to 2022. He was also the Chairman of the Interim Water Drainage Committee during the same period.

Luick ran for re-election to the North Dakota State Senate to represent District 25 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

On a personal note, Luick is married to Yolanda and they have five children. Despite his busy schedule, he manages to balance his professional responsibilities with his personal life, making him a respected figure in his community.
