Representative Mitch Ostlie Contact information

Mitch Ostlie is an American politician and insurance salesman who is currently serving as a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives. He represents the 12th district of North Dakota.

Ostlie was born as Mitchell Ostlie and is a member of the Republican Party. He has three children. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Mayville State University.

Before his political career, Ostlie was an insurance salesman and owned an insurance company. He has also served on the Jamestown, North Dakota School Board and Jamestown Planning and Zoning Committee. His contributions to his community extend beyond his professional career. He is a member of the Elks, Jamestown Choral Aires, Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce, and NDAIFA. He is also a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Ostlie was appointed to the North Dakota House of Representatives on February 18, 2020, by the District 12 Republican Executive Committee. He succeeded Jim Grueneich. His current term ends on December 1, 2024. He is running for re-election to continue representing District 12.

In the House of Representatives, Ostlie has been a part of several committees. He has served on the Interim Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, Education Committee, Retirement Committee, and the Standing Political Subdivisions. He has sponsored several bills during his tenure.
