Representative Scott Louser
Scott Louser is an American politician who has been serving in the North Dakota House of Representatives from the 5th district since 2010. He is a member of the Republican Party.
Born on July 24, 1971, Louser has made significant contributions to his community both as a politician and a professional. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and his Master of Science in Management from Michigan State University.
In his professional life, Louser has been working as a licensed realtor since 1997 and is the owner of Prudential Preferred Properties of Minot. He also served as the Vice President for the National Association of Realtors in 2012 and was honored as the North Dakota Realtor of the Year in 2006.
In his political career, Louser assumed office on December 1, 2010, and his current term ends on December 1, 2026. He ran for re-election to the North Dakota House of Representatives to represent District 5 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Louser was an at-large delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention from North Dakota. All North Dakota delegates were unpledged. Louser, however, was one of 18 North Dakota delegates on a list of preferred delegates circulated by Ted Cruz’s campaign prior to the North Dakota State Convention in April 2016.
Over the years, Louser has been assigned to various committees. In the 2023-2024 legislative session, Louser was assigned to the House Industry, Business and Labor Committee as Chair and the House Government and Veterans Affairs Committee.
