Representative Ty Dressler

Ty Dressler is a Republican member of the North Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 36. He assumed office on December 1, 2024, and his current term will end on December 1, 2028.​

Born and raised in Richardton, North Dakota, Ty has deep roots in the community. He pursued higher education at North Dakota State University (NDSU), where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Resources Management. This academic background provided him with a solid foundation in environmental stewardship and resource conservation, principles that have guided his professional and public service endeavors.​

Professionally, Ty is both an agricultural business owner and a rancher. His firsthand experience in agriculture has given him a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities within North Dakota’s farming and ranching industries. This insight informs his legislative priorities, particularly in advocating for policies that support agricultural sustainability and economic growth in rural communities.​

Ty’s commitment to public service is evident through his previous roles in local organizations. He served on the Richardton-Taylor School Board, where he contributed to decisions impacting the education and development of local students. Additionally, his involvement with the Richardton Lions Club highlights his dedication to community service and civic engagement.​

In the North Dakota House of Representatives, Ty serves on the Finance and Taxation Committee and the Transportation Committee. These assignments allow him to influence fiscal policies and transportation infrastructure projects that are vital to the state’s economy and the well-being of its residents.​

Residing in Richardton with his wife, Daneen, Ty is a devoted family man. Together, they have three children, and their shared commitment to family values underscores Ty’s dedication to fostering a supportive and thriving community for future generations.
