About Representative Daniel Aquino



Daniel Iwashita Aquino Jr. is an independent member of the Northern Mariana Islands House of Representatives from District 2 on Saipan. He was elected in 2024 to succeed Manny Castro and took office on January 13, 2025, and the following month the House minority bloc named him an assistant minority leader. He previously headed the Commonwealth Bureau of Military Affairs and served on the Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council from 2021 until his election to the Legislature. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Guam and served with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
