Edmund Joseph Sablan Villagomez is an independent member of the Northern Mariana Islands House of Representatives from District 3 and has served as Speaker of the House since January 2021. First elected in 2009 as a member of the Covenant Party, he took office in January 2010 and has run as an independent since 2014. He served as House Minority Leader during the 20th Commonwealth Legislature and was reelected Speaker for the 23rd and 24th Legislatures. Before his election he was an assistant to the CNMI Secretary of Commerce and head of the Foreign Investment Office. He is the running mate of Representative Blas Jonathan Attao for lieutenant governor in the 2026 election.
