Early Life and Education

Adam Pugh was born on October 12, 1977. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree from Troy University. Prior to his political career, Pugh served in the United States Air Force for eight years, achieving the rank of captain. After his military service, he worked for the defense contractor Delaware Research Group.

Political Journey

  • Oklahoma Senate: In 2016, Adam Pugh, a Republican, secured victory in the race to succeed Clark Jolley as the senator for Oklahoma’s 41st district. He defeated Democratic nominee Kevin McDonald and Libertarian nominee Richard Prawdzienski, earning 63 percent of the vote. Pugh was re-elected by default in 2020 and 2024.
