Representative Aletia Haynes Timmons

Aletia Haynes Timmons is a member of the Democratic Party and currently serves in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, representing District 97. She assumed office on June 18, 2025, and her current term will conclude on November 18, 2026.

Timmons was born and raised in Oklahoma City, where she attended John Marshall High School before pursuing higher education. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and later obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma School of Law. Her professional career began in the legal field, where she built a reputation for fairness and dedication to justice. In 2014, she was elected as a district judge for Oklahoma County, a position she held until March 2025. During her tenure as judge, she presided over numerous cases and was recognized for her commitment to upholding the law with integrity and impartiality. Her judicial experience provided her with a strong foundation in public service and legal expertise, which she carried into her legislative career.

Following her judicial service, Timmons transitioned into politics, running for the Oklahoma House of Representatives in District 97.
